Band Director

I spent another wonderful afternoon listening to the Old Pueblo Brass Band thanks to my friend Martha. This performance was at Northminster Presbyterian Church where Fran and I had the best seat in the house...perfect for sketching!

This time, Barbara, the band director was in perfect view!

The right side was my collage of brass instruments.

I know this is not cactus but there were cactus and beautiful trees and flowers in the church courtyard...close enough.

Colored pencil in my Moleskine.

I really like the band sketch - you have caught the posture of the director and the collage of instruments give the feel of the liveliness of all the instruments contributing their bit. And the flowering cavtus is lovely too - amazing how similar to a pineapple. Alison in Canberra

I just saw the sketch and am amazed how accurate it 'feels' to see it. The brass instrument collage is very complimentary to what we are trying to do.
How can I get a copy of it to frame? Barbara, the band director
