The theme word at Illustration Friday this week is 'little things'. This is a string of red pepper lights used for decorating at Christmas time in the southwest. It also works perfectly for 'little things' on Friday.

Oh I love these! The red looks fab and that highlight too! I can't remember if we have these or not - I remember DH was taken with them when we saw them in a mall in Kuwait, but can't remember if we bought them! I'll have to get out my Christmassy things now just to see!

Thanks everyone. This was one of those whimsical things that I just felt like doing. Glad you enjoyed them. It is odd to not have snow for Christmas but love the 'Feliz Navidad' here.

You are always making me miss the Southwest! I always especially loved the Christmas season out there - it seemed so much less "corny" than in the east. Chile peppers, luminarias, biscochitos and the smell of pinon burning in fireplaces....sigh....
