Blooming Tuesday - Red Poppies

I found these beautiful red poppies in my neighbor's yard and snapped one up to take home and paint. The left side is the top of the flower and the right is the underside which was also very interesting.
I didn't even know there were red poppies.
Happy Blooming Tuesday.

Beautiful poppies Teri. I can see why your were inspired to paint them. Red, one of my favorite colors.

Your poppies are lovely, they are such a simple flower in stature but so vibrant in color.

WOWEE!!! That red is dazzling!!! LOVE this, TEri -- I'm especially fond of the back side of the flower -- how it seems to fold and shade perfectly!!! BRAVA~!

You've captured the perfect color for poppies. These remind me of the paper Buddy Poppies we used to sell as kids for Veteran's Day each year.

Wow so well done!
As a child I loved poppies and was always very disapointed that I could not pick them and put them in a vase.......
Now I have learned to appreciate their beauty at the place where I find them.
