Cactus Monday- Old Man From The Past

This cactus is really called 'Old Man' cactus. The spines on it are quite long giving it an interesting 'old man' appearance.
I did this when I was first becoming so fascinated with cacti.
It is done on tan paper with green colored pencil and white gel pen.
Been a long weekend.
Happy Cactus Monday!

I love this sketch. I used to have one of these cactus. I really must find one of those white gel pens. I like the result here. HCM

nice one teri, the white really stands out on the brown paper. I love the old man cactus, Bella sinclair first alerted me to it, when I was needle felting a cactus (cause its hairy). Maybe I need to take a visit to the plant shop and replace a few of my dead cactuses...

O my goodness! What a great reminder of this cactus - one of my "old" favorites from my long gone years living in the desert. These guys are quite impressive in person! Just love the sketch.

This is SO gorgeous! I love the unusual images you share here. Things I never get to see, but I love. I look forward to getting out to the desert soon, and I'm sure I'll be reminded of your cards.
