This painting is based on a sketch I did last year when the prickly pear cactus was in bloom. I don't usually do another painting from a sketch but, I don't usually design boots either. lol
Sometimes the creative urge just takes over.
Happy Cactus Monday everyone.

Beautiful watercolor again!
Again I can't reach Viviane's blog :(
HCM!
I'm sure glad you allow your creative muse to do whatever she wants to do, as this is beautiful (as are the boots fun!) HCM
I could see Vivians blog but was not allowed to leave a message, keep getting bumped off. Too bad as it looks like great art there. Tell her I'm sorry.
Marianne, this is beautiful! I looked back over your ABC illustrations posted Sunday and oh, my, gosh! Those are amazing...one of my favorites is the sunflower but there really is countless others! wow
Love those gorgeous blooms, Teri! Gorgeous pink!!
Nice! Really full and lush!!! HCM!
I have soooo thorooughly enjoyed your entire boot series...what fun! :)
I see that Margaret and I both could comment on Viviane's post but I left her a message to see if she can solve the problem.
And I have added her to our member list. She has such wonderful sketches.
Hi Girls, I really don't know what's going on about my blog :(
I Would love to have your comments about my draw...shame! :(
Beautiful!!!
another marvellous illo. hcm teri.
This is so pretty. The colors are so rich and deep. I need to take lessons from you.
Well this certainly looks like home except it's not springtime so the cactuses look pretty unpretty right now. You made a great drawing of the cactus.
You REAL artists amaze me at what all you can conceive and create! This is lovely...the bloom color is so perfect...there is a large Prickly Pear over at the college here with this exact color of blooms!!!
Marvelous painting Teri. Happy CM.
You are making me homesick for the desert spring and I haven't even gotten through the holidays yet!
Love this cactus!
