I got up at 6am and went for a walk. Took me 15 minutes to dress warm :) and it was not snowing.
I was drinking my coffee when it started snowing at 7:30.
It was (and is) very beautiful and I was inspired to sketch this.
A 'real' look at the snow.
Oh happy day! lol

There is nothing lovelier or more magical than the first Snowfall...
I always run outside and try to eat some of the Snowflakes! (Must be a *City Girl* reaction! A-ha-ha!)
Unbelievably, after months of grey, cold weather....it is 80 degrees here! It is a Topsy-Turvey place to live!
Stay warm...both of you...walk carefully when you are out and about in snow - and of course, drive carefully too. I pray DH continues to improve in strength and outlook.
And....don't forget to take care of YOU too.
Love to both,
♥ Robin ♥
Thanks Robin. He gets stronger everyday and has now gained three pounds back.
Interesting that you always say to take care of myself. In the beginning I was so worried about him, never thought of me but now there are days that I need to take a walk....by myself. If you get my drift. But I am always thankful for having him here.
Teri, I took care of my Father for 18 months....and I remember how draining it can be....(even when you love the *patient*)...when you take care of yourself, it helps both people!
A-ha-ha...yes, I *get the drift*!!!
Love and Strength,
♥ Robin ♥
Something wonderful about snow, well for the first 5 minutes anyway..lol. Love your drawing of it, works so well on this coloured paper. I see from your reply to Robin that your DH is doing well, VERY GOOD NEWS. All the best to you both....ann.
That explains your understanding! Thank you. It is comforting to me.
Thanks Ann, yes, the first 5 minutes and I'm yelling, "Enough!" :)
Lucky you getting to see the snow this year. By the time you get to go to AZ you will REALLY appreciate that heat and sunshine. Love your sketch. It captures that feel of snow piling up on the queen anns lace and other lovely weeds.
That doesn't look like AZ at all. :))
I love the first snow fall. I love it because it only lasts half a day here and gets that feeling of going to see snow out of the way. :)Good you are taking care of you too. That's a fun depiction of your first snow.
This is a lovely picture!
This sounds like a perfect way to begin your day, Teri!
The snow falling is always magical, with the sense of hush, as long as it doesn't get too cold. :)
I'm looking forward to seeing your "take" over the next few months of your winter.
Brenda
