We were hungry for salads so we went to 'Sweet Tomatoes" restaurant. Wow, they had a lot more to choose from this year: tons of salad fixings, lots of different soups, sides and desserts.
And always time for a little sketching.
I like their tall cans of flowers and I always seem to sketch them. The lady on the other hand, keep running back for more food so my lines got all messed up.
You will notice that I am putting a watermark on my art now. Someone on Facebook took (read stole it) a piece of my art that I use for my banner and she put it on her banner. I had a real hissy fit over it and am now forced to use a watermark. Some people have no ethics and think nothing of stealing someone else's creations. I am trying to not let it take the fun out of painting.

I love your new banner, I made collages out of some of my work for my headers and side photos after finding my work all over the place, I have had four pieces taken, even the name of my blog was taken, she just changed it a wee bit, I feel for you, its nasty business,
How do you do that watermark?? I'd like to do it too. Great drawings as usual.
I use an app on my ipad called 'Impressions' but problem is I can't get it on my laptop so have to send things back and forth. Need to look around and see what is out there for making watermarks.
Too bad someone spoiled your fun without the watermark. I like these buckets of flowers. Your people sketches are always fun.
I am so upset you were forced to do this! I guess I am naive, but it is so wrong to take another person's work - be it a painting or a photo - what happened to scruples - or honesty? If I am ever tempted to use something of yours - or any of my friends - I always ask for permission and give credit... this is all so sad....but how wonderful of Anne to look out for you!
Oh....back to your sketch....gorgeous!!!!!!!

so sorry to hear about the theft - I've had my pics pinned to pinterest a couple of times. I don't really consider that stealing since they are posting something they like....but at the same time it's odd because I don't know it's been done until someone contacts me and asks about something they saw on pinterest. The internet has made all things available and easy to take.

The salads sound delicious, and I really like your sketches. The tall cans of flowers are pretty.
You did an interesting job of the woman's hair, it looks quite thick, she's lucky to have such hair.
With the large watermark, perhaps you could still post?
It really is unethical of the person who used your art, it would have been so much better if this person had possibly asked your permission.
