I walked in the rain this morning at 6:30 and this is my impression of what it looked like from under my umbrella.
Done on gray-toned paper.
Most of the time it is warm and sunny but not today.
The desert will receive a much needed rain....all day.
Good day to catch up on indoor chores, art and reading.

I dunno, but it seems to me that if it's usuall warm and sunny, then I'd spend the whole (rare) rainy day outside, enjoying the novelty.
I Calfornia a couple years ago, I marvelled at how everyone scurried for cover at even the slightest drizzle.

A wonderful sketch...I can almost hear the rain drops beating against the umbrella! Don't you love how the air smells after a Southwest Rain....ummm...that Sage and Pinon!

The novelty of walking in the rain wears off when that's all you seem to get. :) Enjoy it.
I always think of rain in AZ as a brief shower. I have seen this before. Never an all day event. I like your vision from under the umbrella.
