A few days ago we saw a javelina walking around our retirement park (with fencing all around!) so I grabbed my camera and we took a few photos. After I took the pix we realized there were two of them. Pretty good size too.
I guess they keep digging under our fence, the owners repair it and the next day they are back.
I did this little sketch to remember the day along with some info on them.
I put the prickly pear cactus in there as it is their favorite food and you can tell when they have been eating with the big bite out of it.
They are mostly blind and vegetarians so if one keeps a good distance it is safe.
Seen between a house and shed.
Kind of ugly isn't she?!
Here are the two of them.
Going behind a house.
