While we were waiting for Kay I noticed this sign right outside the restaurant and it just seemed to call for feet up in the sketch.
Kay and Teri at the corner of "Easy and Friends".
I gifted Kay with a sketchbook and sketched this in the front cover. She has a cat this color so it worked great. Kay, in her great humor said, "oh good, now I have some art of Teri's and I didn't even have to steal it".
And she gave me something I have always wanted, a Lamy ink pen. They are as nice as everyone says.
We spent some quality time sketching at an open market truth be told, we talked more than sketched. She is so fun.
One thing I learned was she is well prepared for urban sketching and I need to redo my whole set. Notice that pink strap thing she wears. It is a mini kind of backpack, pockets for everything. Now I need one :)
I wish I had taken a photo of her sketch, it was so neat but too much talking.
You can tell by my sketch that I was talking and listening and talking and listening, such a good time.
I really needed this visit. Thanks Kay!!!!!

On the corner of Easy street and Friends. Love it. Its hard not to want to talk when one meets up with another fellow Artist. How fun to see, in PERSON, what someone else uses for supplies. I hope you share those with us. Great sketches too. Love the sign with the feet showing. :)
Meeting a *Virtual* Friend is the best, isn't it? How thrilling for you both to meet! I love the sketches of *Easy Street*.....and the one of Kay's Sketchbook cover!
Have a gorgeous weekend!

Teri,
This is such a happy, and fun post to read.
I love the sketch of the sign on Easy Street.
And the cat looks very mischevious, on the inside of Kay's sketchbook.
Thanks for sharing your pictures of you and Kay, how nice to see you, enjoying sketching in sunny Arizona. :)
Wishing you a happy weekend!
